Welcome to the Home theater page.

So, you are thinking about getting a Home theater ? You have been in some HI-FI store and heard this some demo that blew your mind. You also have a 32"-55" and think the factory speakers sound pretty good. Yea, they do the job but, there is something missing from what your watching your movies and Red Sox games (I am a big Red Sox fan). You have come to the right place !

So, the question comes down to, what do I need for a setup ? You can go into stores and see systems ranging from $99 all the way up to, how much money do you have. What features do I really need and why ? What is this feature of this machine and what will it do for me ? Yea, we have all been there, after a little home work, you can find the answer.

Well, there are a lot of "bells and whistles" that these machines have and they are something that I would like to cover in this page. If I have missed something, please send me over an e-mail and let me know. And that is just the hardware, not even the speakers. That is a whole different thing. Sound is more preferred by someone. There is sound that you like vs. I do. So speakers need to be done by what you think sounds good to you. It takes time to find the perfect speakers for you and your system. What do you enjoy more ? Do you like listening to music or just watching movies with it ? Let me tell you something real quick, true THX speakers sounds awesome for movies but, they suck for music. You need to go into a place and take a listen, bring a few CDs and check them out. Also listen to them in a movie setting, and not just something blaring loud.

Be ready for the sales person to try to close you. Don't fall for it but, remember, most most people in sales work on commission. Please keep that in mind and work only with the same person, if you like him / her. My advice is only to buy when your ready and know what you want to buy. You want to do your homework to give you a better idea on what you will be looking for.
